Peanut Butter Cereal Bars

Cereal Bars
Combine in saucepan and bring to a boil:
     1 cup sugar
     1/2 tsp butter
     1 cup white corn syrup
Blend in 1 cup peanut butter and stir until smooth
Pour hot mixture over 6 cups of cereal
Press into 9x13 pan (greased) (cooking spray works best)
I usually double the recipe and use a cookie sheet

Be creative with your cereal choices:  Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Chex, Captain Crunch, Cork Flakes, Kix

You can also add mini M7M's or Reese's baking pieces

Sometimes I mix different cereal together.  It's a great way to use up partial boxes and the kids love these bars!

 Melt together in pan (may add food coloring)  
     1 bag large marshmallows
     1/4 stick butter
Blend together with at least 6 cups of cereal (may need more depending on the type of cereal)
Press into 9x13 greased pan

Be creative:  Rice Krispies, Kix, Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles, Trix
